Admiral of the Ocean Sea – 10 October 2022, Anno Domini (In the Year of our Lord)

T

HROUGH thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. NUN 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.     (Psalm 119:103-106)

It was the Lord who put into my mind that fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There is no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit, because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures.  Christopher Columbus

When I was an elementary school child in the early 1950’s, one would be hard-pressed to find a school child who did not know “in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue.” Every child could name the three ships that made that great adventure under the command of a man the world had labeled as insane for his theory of sailing west to discover that land mass called North and South America – the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria.

Those were the days in which the love of country and our heritage were still sacrosanct. Such was the sentiment that had created the greatest freedom-loving nation heretofore to appear among the nations of the world. It was a given that the Lord God had guided the hand and heart of our Founding Fathers in the establishment of our nation as an independent nation whose Constitution and formularies of government assured the God-given liberty of every man to be secure in his home and to freedom of expression. And it was so.

Those halcyon days when our institutional and national memory was brimming with love and respect for those whose blood was shed to purchase our freedoms, and also for the one man whose vision led to our establishment on this continent – Christopher Columbus.

The character of that great man has been maligned and denigrated by thoughtless zealots who believe Marx, Lenin, and Stalin – despite their horrific role in the death of millions of innocent people – to be the role models to be venerated.

The Marxist model with which our children are being indoctrinated has undertaken an age-old tactic that attempts to erase the institutional memory of a nation’s history and heritage as a precursor to bring that nation and people down to the ant-hill of slavery and penury. Such a people can more easily be ruled by the despotic oppressor whose god is globalism, and whose religion is dialectical materialism (the Marxist theory - adopted as the official philosophy of the Soviet communists - that political and historical events result from the conflict of social forces and are interpretable as a series of contradictions and their solutions. The conflict is believed to be caused by material needs).

On this day, I salute that courageous Italian admiral who braved the great unknown in trusting the Finger of God to point his way to a new land on which to plant the Christian Ensign. Such men should be emulated for their vision and great benefits of that vision to mankind.

Hail Columbia, and Hail Christopher Columbus – Admiral of the Ocean Sea!

God bless America, and God  bless the memory of such a great historical figure who heeded His Word in finding a way to a land hitherto unknown in spite of ridicule and doubt of all others.
